Progress of the

Hostel Project, Delhi

The FSC has purchased a plot measuring approximately 500 sq meter, in Johari Farm, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi in 2000 with an intention to construct a hostel on it. It was planned that this construction would serve twin purposes, firstly, by assisting students of Jamia Millia Islamia and other universities of the capital by providing them accommodation on comparatively affordable rent and, secondly, raising the trust fund through its income.

However, after a second thought, it has been recently decided that a hostel would be out of place in a residential area, therefore, the present property should be sold and a better location should be found out for this purpose.
