Message of the President

The Foundation for Social Care has envisaged sometime back to bring out its quarterly mouthpiece ‘FSC Newsletter’ for keeping its associates, well wishers and sponsors abreast of its progress, policies and activities on regular basis. It is a matter of pleasure for all the concerned that its publication is commencing from this issue. We must share this prayer that its ensuing issues be brought out always in time and serve the objective it is intended for.

By the divine grace, the FSC has steadily grown and progressed since its foundation in 1994 and has diversified its scope and reach within the limited resources at its disposal. In this regard, the organisation is indebted to the sincere cooperation of its patrons and sponsors. May they receive their best reward from the divine!

The organisation has defined at the very out set, its basic philosophy and accordingly engaged itself for reaching to the target. ‘Man’ remains on the focus of the Foundation from the very beginning, man as the singular creation on the earth and man as a constituent of the single family of Adam inhabiting the planet earth. The development concern of the FSC, contrary to the conventional view, is not the means for man but man himself.

It is hoped that the ‘FSC Newsletter’ will succeed in spreading this aspect of human welfare to one and all.

Founder President

Editorial Note

By the grace of God, Foundation for Social Care has entered into the ninth year of its mission in the last July. It has a tract record of serving people without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, community or persuasion since its foundation and enjoys an expressed recognition at local, national and international levels for its distinct approach, outlook and performance.

The multiple progress and widening of its relations has necessitated for quite sometime that a mechanism for regular information to all the concerned be developed. For this purpose, a regular bulletin was thought to be an appropriate thing. However, it was deferred for quite sometime under the shadow of modesty and aversion to ostentation. Nevertheless, the mounting pressure for dissemination of information regarding achievements and events at the Foundation provided the final impetus and, hence, this publication.

The motto of FSC, ‘We care’, is just not a beautiful appendage of its logo or an unconscious expression, but it has come out of a deep desire to help mankind in the alleviation of its deep rooted sufferings inflicted by both the control freak oppressors and unfavourable nature. This motto has become a beacon light for the workers of the FSC to constantly engage themselves on the battle field of destitution, depravity, impoverishment and human tragedies or to rush to any emergency both man-made and natural. The glow of this motto has led these workers to devise and perform a mechanism for the added development of the unprovided and marginalised lot of our society. ‘We Care’ has an emotional value for the functionaries of the Foundation emerging from the sanctity of the value system persuaded by them. The Foundation does not treat its programmes and activities just a charity, rather, all of them are the essential ingredients of its obligation to and worship of the Merciful God.

FSC Newsletter intends to disseminate this crucial message to the conflict ridden and tension laden world.
